Smart Charge · Price guarantee

You pay the price of the cheapest hours. Every time.

No matter when your car actually charges, you are settled at the price of the cheapest hours in your charging window. It is guaranteed — and you can see it on your bill.

Price guarantee – you pay the cheapest hours

How the price guarantee works

When you plug in the car and choose a departure time, we know your charging window — for example 18:00 to 08:00. We find the cheapest hours in that window. That is the price you pay.

When we actually send power to the car is our problem. Your price is locked to the cheapest hours. Full stop.

Example — spot prices 18:00 – 08:00

Your price (price guarantee) — the cheapest hours
Actual charging

Your price follows the green hours. The grey ones only show when the power is delivered — it does not affect your bill.

A worked example

You plug in the car at 18:00 and need it at 08:00. The car needs to charge 40 kWh. In your charging window, the four cheapest hours are 02:00–06:00 with an average price of 0.82 DKK/kWh.

40 kWh × 0.82 DKK/kWh32.80 DKK
Minus charging discount 10 øre/kWh–4.00 DKK
Your total price28.80 DKK

This applies whether we actually charge at 02:00–06:00, at 22:00–02:00, or spread across the whole night.

The price guarantee — exactly what it means

Here is how to check it yourself on the bill:

1
Find the charging window (e.g. 18 May 18:00 – 19 May 08:00)
2
Look up the spot prices for those hours on e.g. Energi Data Service
3
The hours you are settled for are the cheapest in the window. Every time.

The bigger picture

Your flexibility helps the entire Danish power grid

We buy power directly on the exchange

We buy power directly on the exchange without middlemen. That means lower costs, which we pass on to you through the price guarantee and the charging discount.

Your flexibility is valuable to the grid

When you charge smart, you help level out consumption in the grid. It is good for the climate, and it is why we can give you the charging discount.

Your price is locked — our responsibility

We plan and buy power for you. You always pay the cheapest hours. If the market moves unexpectedly, we handle it — it is never reflected in your price.

Three steps

Set the time. We handle the rest.

That is all you do. No prices to track, no schedules to plan.

1

You set the departure time

Tell the app when the car needs to be ready. The longer the time, the better the price.

2

We plan the charging

We plan the charging within your window. You do not need to keep track.

3

You pay the cheapest hours

You are always settled for the cheapest hours in your charging window. Automatically deducted on your bill.

Extra benefit

Charging discount: 10 øre/kWh on top of the price guarantee

Because you give us the flexibility — by keeping the car plugged in and letting Smart Charge control the charging — we give you a further 10 øre discount per kWh when you charge at home. Automatically deducted on your bill.

You always pay the cheapest hours in your charging window
10 øre/kWh extra charging discount on kWh charged via Smart Charge
The longer the car is plugged in, the greater the potential for a low price
No commitment, no extra fee

You do one thing: choose the departure time. We do the rest. You pay the cheapest hours.

Questions & answers

Savings

Typically 20–30% lower charging price*

Compared to charging without Smart Charge control. Historical data typically shows 15–30%; future results may vary and are not guaranteed. The 10 øre/kWh charging discount comes on top.

Why don't we always charge in exactly the cheapest hours?

Charging may happen at different times to ensure stable operation and grid flexibility. But your price does not change: when the conditions are met, you are settled at the cheapest hours in your charging window. Your bill shows what you were settled for in every charging session.

Compatible chargers

Smart Charge works with chargers from Zaptec, NexBlue and Easee – including one you already own. It always needs three things: the charger, the car and the enkel app.

Conditions

Conditions for the price guarantee and savings+
The price guarantee requires all home charging in the charging window to be controlled by the enkel Smart Charge app, and the car and charger must send the required data. The window runs from plug-in to your chosen departure time. The car must stay plugged in, and charging must not be started, stopped or overridden manually. The 20–30% saving is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Conditions for the charging discount+
The charging discount is 0.10 DKK/kWh incl. VAT, deducted from the spot price on your bill. It only applies to home charging controlled by Smart Charge in the enkel app with a compatible charger and car. Requires the service agreement (included at 0 DKK/mo.). The discount can be adjusted, with notice via app and email.

More questions

Yes, if it is from Zaptec, NexBlue or Easee. Your car must also be able to connect – see the list of confirmed car brands.
Can I still charge immediately if I need to?+
